The Washi Dance Dresses started as part of the exhibition held in 2022 called Washi Sisters: A Journey. The challenge we gave ourselves was to use Japanese Heritage Washi in a three-dimensional format. The dress has become a symbol for me of dance and movement in space. In addition to these works I designed two Washi dresses which were worn by dancers Claudia Moore and Martha Randall in a live performance at Propeller Art Gallery.
